Although God tells us we will never know when Jesus will return, from where I live, it is looking pretty apocalyptic these days. Wild fires bring darkened days and blood red moons that have gone on now for 2 months. Along with all of the calamity and uncertainty of what is true, I feel that we are in the midst of a great battle.
The battle that rages is a spiritual one although people are trying to make it political. The angels are pleading with us to join them in this battle through prayer.
“Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. “ ~ 1 Peter 5:8-9
The angels of heaven are helping us to purify the way we handle our environment by creating new habits that require us to work in collaboration with the earth, not against it. All the while demons are setting the earth on fire.
The angels of heaven are corralling families back together, helping us to see and understand each other’s inner workings, all our roles and all our importance in our daily lives. They are making parents ever more aware of what our children are learning, who they are being influenced by and how important relationships are to the wellbeing of our spirits. And children get to see the hard work parents put in to making life okay. Meanwhile the demons are leading people deeper into their addictions and inciting violence in our homes more than ever before.
The angels of heaven are giving us no other entertainment than that of nature as we go for hikes in forests and trails and mountains and parks. And the demons are wreaking havoc with our minds by poisoning them with anxiety over being near strangers or leaving our homes.
The angels of heaven are giving us solutions to manage the pandemic while demons are making us doubt them.
The angels of heaven are giving us an opportunity to re-evaluate and re-imagine our work and the work of others as important, useful, and worth while. More and more people are asking themselves if they are using the gifts and talents and skills God gave to them in the best way? How can things be improved? All the while demons are fighting back by trying to make us believe we have to stay repressed and that the old ways are better than anything new.
The angels of heaven are trying to get us to live in the present moment while the demons are filling us with worry over the future and anger about the past.
The angels of heaven are pleading for us to know and understand the injustices and inequalities within our cultures to make changes in our thoughts and words and actions that align with God’s will. They are guiding us to be sure all are loved by one another, all are deemed as important and to unite and bring together all of God’s children to further build the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven just as Jesus taught us. Demons however are lurking and instilling fears in our minds that by giving to others, it will be taken away from us. The devil is trying to make us doubt God’s promises that he will provide for all of our needs (Philippians 4:19) and forget the words of Jesus that it is more blessed to give than receive (Acts 20:35). And demons are filling people’s hearts with victimhood, pitting themselves against others, blaming, feeling powerlessness and encouraging violence over peace.
The angels need us to pray.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. ~Romans 12:21
The angels of heaven are shedding light on many of our habits, values, goals and they need us to take this opportunity to create something new that is aligned with God’s will. They need our faith in God’s goodness to be stronger than ever. They need our focus, our attention and our energy to be on those things that overcome evil.
“Whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” ~ Philippians 4:8
“For though we walk in the flesh, we are not waging war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh but have divine power to destroy strongholds. We destroy arguments and every lofty opinion raised against the knowledge of God, and take every thought captive to obey Christ,” ~ 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
Demons do not always have a face, but we know they are present by the way we feel. Feelings of doubt, insecurity, anger, jealously, fear, depression, apathy and anxiety – each of these are entities that try to attach themselves to us and so often we don’t realize we have the power to make a choice not to accept them but to accept Jesus Christ instead. Through Jesus Christ, we were given authority to cast those demons out and send them to the courts of heaven for sentencing and disposal.
“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.” ~ Luke 10:19
So let us heed the call of God’s Angels from Heaven and join them in prayer over their battle to defend God’s kingdom, to defend our souls and to live God’s will for us on earth as it is in heaven.
The Kingdom of God is within us. We are worthy of God’s goodness. We have authority to stop and cast away the evil in our lives as long as we do so in Jesus’ name.
“For even if I boast a little too much of our authority, which the Lord gave for building you up and not for destroying you, I will not be ashamed.” ~2 Corinthians 10:8
Mother Mary, by the power of The Holy Spirit, accepted God’s will, overcame evil and brought forth God’s son to save the world. Let us go out and face each day with a faith like Mary’s and build up God’s Kingdom within ourselves and others so we too can stand on the head of Satan and defeat him and his demons swiftly and quickly in this battle.

Pray for the hearts of all people to know what is true. (John 14:6)
Pray for the hearts of all people to align their will with God’s. (Romans 12:2 and 1 Thessalonians 3:6-18)
Pray for the hearts of all people to believe in Christ so they may be marked with the seal of the promised Holy Spirit. (Ephesians 1:15)
Pray for the hearts of all people to accept and receive Jesus Christ’s love and live by His Word. (John 1:12)
Pray for the hearts of all people to be purified and sanctified in Jesus’s blood. (1 Peter:2)
Pray for the hearts of all people to take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. (Ephesians 6:16)
Pray for the hearts of all people to wear the helmet of salvation and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. (Ephesians 6:17)
Pray for the hearts of all people to put on the full armor of God which comes from the gospel of peace. (Ephesians 6:11-15)
Pray for the hearts of all people to use their authority in Jesus Christ to command Satan and all his demons to be gone so we may live on earth as it is in heaven. (Luke 10:19)
