To prepare her spirit for the coming of Jesus, Mother Mary renewed her thoughts, feelings and actions through daily water rituals that were not unlike our baptisms today. Mary believed her spirit was purified as she literally and symbolically washed away all the thoughts, feelings and actions she held within her mind, body and spirit that did not serve her higher purpose. It was an act of regeneration – restoring her spirit to a more worthy state.
As part of our humanness, we make choices that may not always serve us well or help us reach our higher purpose. When that happens, be easy on yourself, wash away your worries, cleanse your impurities and offer yourself and others forgiveness and let it all go so it no longer hinders your ability to be connected to God. Begin each day anew with pure thoughts, good feelings and godly actions!
